The mission of ITL is to research and develop novel medical imaging and image processing technologies aimed at creating new and more effective image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. To this end, our efforts are directed in four major areas:

Our research problems are clinically driven. We work closely with clinicians and use their continual feedback in the design and testing of new tools and clinical solutions. Two common themes in our research are use of multi-dimensional images and striving for real-time performance.
